Detergents and Our Environment

Here is the link to a New York Times article that does a good job of simply explaining the problem with detergents and why it’s important that each of us make responsible choices when buying household products.  I have found that a safe (and cheap) alternative to commercial cleaning products is to use vinegar as much as possible for cleaning and to buy homemade laundry soap from my friend Annie, who is planning to make her recipe available through Marilyn Farms.
