Wanted: Your Input

October 21, 2008

Hi everyone –

Marilyn Farms is in the process of making some changes to our website.  Our goal is not only to provide incredible educational information and products, but make it easy for you to access that information and find the products you need. We know the best input comes from you, our customers, so we have a favor to ask.

Would you please take a few moments to add a comment below about things that you both like and dislike about our existing site?  Don’t worry, we won’t be offended! You could also include topics for us to cover or products that we don’t currently provide but you believe would be a good fit to our current offerings of “Products for Health, Health for Life”.

We can’t promise that we’ll make every change and add every product, but we’ll certainly listen and seriously consider all of your input.

Thanks in advance for your time and on-going support of Marilyn Farms!

  1. One idea to consider is a button on your blog page to go directly to your main web page. Easy navigation.

  2. Would like to have Marilyn Farm grass fed beef available for purchase in Ames, Iowa, possibly at Wheatsfield or Hy-Vee.

We tried to get into Hy-Vee a few years ago and it didn’t work for several reasons including the fact that we’re not a large enough producer. We’re currently in a transition with our beef program and will keep everyone updated as we work through the changes. Thanks!

  3. I think the blog topics and regular intervals are good. It would be nice to see some visual aids (photo’s). It would also be good to get people involved by doing small give away’s that would generate more traffic to the blog/main MF’s site (depending on your objective’s). It would be good to see a breakdown of past entries by subject and date which would be easy to achieve by using tags for entries. It might also be nice to have a list of links to other sites that support the MF’s objectives. Hope this helps!

Great input, thank you! We’ve talked about several of these ideas and plan to implement them in the near future.

  4. I love the website and I love Marilyn Farms!! I wish the educational articles were more “visible” or accessible on the home page. I loved the article on the netti pot, but maybe you could also post just simple instructions on how to use one and identify its benefits. Maybe you could also feature a tincture or product on the home page each week identifying its benefits. I do wish we could order good meat through you (I’m in Oregon), but I know that’s a process. I also wish that a “voice” in each LW church would consistently market MFC and continually draw people’s attention to it. You have so much GREAT stuff and MFC seems largely in the corner or too quiet… anyway, those are my thoughts.

Great thoughts – thank you! We agree about increasing the accessibility of our educational information and plan to keep taking steps in that direction. There are currently several feature items on the home page but we will look at refining that a little to have more impact.

Yes, we would love that too! Unfortunately it won’t be happening in the near future, but we’ll hold it as a future consideration.

  8. Hi Marilyn Farms Company! I think your products and prices are great – and your website is very user-friendly. I do a lot of online shopping and can truly say the ease of ordering items and checking out, etc. is very good on your site! (and your free s/h is a treat – even though it’s free I appreciate that you don’t send it parcel post like some of my other online stores! I always receive my order very promptly – thank you!)

I love reading Jessica’s blogs – she has a fabulous way of conveying important and useful information in an interesting and entertaining way! I think what your company does is great and wish you continued success as you look for the next steps in your products, training, etc. Keep up the webinars and teachings – they’re a great way to help us, the consumer, know how we can be using your products to enhance our health!

Best Regards and Wishes of Prosperity for Your Business!!

  9. I think the educational spotlights on the printed bulletins are well written, with a reading level that reaches across a wide range audience. They are not “flashy” with a lot of hype. I applaud the way that the recommendations are written. Statements are made in a straightforward manner with true science-based support behind them, instead of reading like an advertisment. (As a nurse practitioner, I am aware and concerned about the health-related news and educational material that the public has to sort through.)
